2017 – The 2017 Mount Eden Vineyards Estate Chardonnay comes from the oldest Chardonnay vineyard in San Luis Obispo. The wine is aged in a mix of new and used French barrels with a full malolactic fermentation in barrel which helps give it the pure golden color it has when in the glass. You’ll find the wine has a beautifully expressive nose of baked apples, fresh honey, lemon, orange citrus and tropical notes. At the core, there’s a lively saline minerality that is surrounded by a rich, well balanced palate of fruit. If you are looking for the quality and depth of a great Burgundy for half the price, here’s your Chassagne for less than $20. This is a true pleasure to drink in the glass by itself, or definitely can handle the richness of Dungeness Crab, lobster, langostines or smoked squab. For good measure, the wine press loves the Mount Eden Chard with it scoring 93pts from the Wine Advocate and 93pts from the Wine Enthusiast. We DO NOT ship Wine.
