2019 – The 2019 Alain Brumont Cotes du Gascogne Blanc is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Gros Manseng. The Gros Manseng brings structure and freshness to the mix, while the Sauvignon Blanc delivers with aroma and fruitiness. Visually the wine shows a visceral depth of color with a green-ish gold hue. It has a zippy, vibrant nose of honeysuckle, lime, grapefruit, white flower and wet mineral. The mouthfeel is refreshing, clean, crisp, dry and mineraly. Serve well chilled for a refreshing sip on a warm summer night. You’ll also find that it is a nice wine for chilled periwinkle clams, oysters w/ a mignonette sauce, poached Branzino, or crab legs.
