Finca La Providencia Palu, this week’s newcrop arrival, has a classic Huehue cup: crisp aroma with floral and spice notes, fresh, sweet orange acidity that doesn’t overwhelm the jammy sweet chocolate midtone and a creamy, malty caramel finish note, the signature of fine Huehuetenango coffees.
La Providencia is owned and operated by Maximiliano Palacios (Max), a third generation coffee farmer. The name of the coffee, Palhu, is formed from a combination of the family name Palacios and the department of Huehuetenango.
